question: I am coming up on a re-eval for a 100% rating for menieres disease, 50% sleep apnea, 20% painful knee scar, 20% foot problem. It has been 5 years since the initial rating and the symptoms for menieres disease has not improved in that time. I have documentation each year from my private doctor (hearing specialist) stating that symptoms not improving and she doesn't believe that symptoms will improve in the future. I just turned 50 years old and wondering what I might need to get this rating P & T?

Thanks

By any chance did you maintain some kind of log in regard to the frequency of vertigo attacks?  I log could be more than helpful.

Your log of attacks should help.

Get a letter from your doctor that the disease is not likely to improve and submit it.  Worked for me.

Did you have a similar case where you were coming up on a review? Did you see a private doc (not VA) for your treatment?

Thanks

No, I requested P&T (my daughter was getting ready to attend college).  Got a letter from both my treating doctors that indicated that my disabilities were not likely to improve.

Good luck!
