I hope eveyone takes a moment to read this as it may be a little lengthy.

I've seent a far more number of posts regarding delays and not receiving the "appropriate" rating.  Based on my situation, I felt like i needed to tell my story.  Maybe it will help set some expectations and provide something positive for everyone going through this process.

Background:

Retired with 28 years of active duty (4 years USMC - remaining National Guard AGR (active duty) - 10 1/2 years enlisted - remainder as an officer).

First of all, my timeline.  39 total days from claim submission to receipt of BBE.

3/22/17 - Initiated BDD Claim
3/27/17 - Gathering Evidence
4/10/17 - C&P Hearing
4/14/17 - C&P Everything else including X-Rays
5/31/17 - C&P Behavioral Health
7/31/17 - RETIRED
8/1/17 - Claim Submitted
8/2/17 - VA Recives Claim
8/8/17 - Review of Evidence
8/15/17 - Preparation for Decision
8/16/17 - Pending Decision Approval
9/5/17 - Preparation for Notification
9/5/17 - Complete
9/8/17 - BBE recieved

My rating - 100% P&T - I feel so Blessed.

I downloaded the calculator and input what I felt I might receive.  It was my hope that I would get over 50% (based on all of my conditions).  I estimated I should recieve between 60%-80%.  I was in absolute shock when I pulled down my information from EBenefits.  I received much higher ratings in a few areas above my estimates and much lower ratings in a few areas based on my estimates.  Not only did I reach the 100% threshold, but I recived P&T as well.

Final Rating

70% GAD
50% Bilateral Pes Planus with Plantar Fascitis
30% Asthma
20% Painful scars low back surgery and head injury
20% Status post posterior fusion
20% Cervical Spondylosis
20% Right Shoulder Strain
10% Raynaud's Syndrome
10% Bilateral Tinnitus
