How many US Navy aircraft carriers and escort carriers were lost during WWII?

(Bonus points if you can name them)

Only escort carrier I could find was the ACV2 Block Island sunk by German sub.
Interesting we built 126 escort carriers including 39 which went to the British.
Only four carriers:
Lexington (CV2), Yorktown (CV5), Wasp (CV7) and Hornet (CV8)all sunk by Japanesen subs.

I must admit that I didn't know the answer...and could only name a couple from memory. I didn't fare as well as you two!
