Jerry Chapman, long time Blue Crew member has passed away. Funeral plans are being made and will be communicated through our wonderful office staff. Sabrina, thank you for your kindness to Jerry's family.

Smooth Seas and Following Winds, shipmate! We will miss you here, but know that you are working on that big LST in heaven!

My deepest sympathies to Jerry's family, especially his wife and brother.

Jerry Chapman spent several years on ship and several thousand hours. Sandra Chapman said that Jerry's memorial will be held April 22nd, at Veteran's Memorial Park in Albuquerque, NM. There will be more information to follow on the French Funeral Home website for Jerry. http://frenchfunerals.com/book-of-memor ... etails.php Jerry spent a lot of his time helping to restore this park.

Jerry wished for donations instead of flowers to be sent to the USS LST Ship Memorial or to the Hiroshi "Hershey" Miyamura (MOH) Chapter of Korean War Veteran's Assoc. at 1600 Knoll Crest Ct Los Lunas, NM 87031-6374 Jerry was the President of the MOH Chapter for many years before retiring just recently.

It is not pleasant to share information like this, but we need to remember and honor those who give of themselves for others. Jerry, as you know, was much loved by many of us. We will miss him and honor his service. You are wonderful to all of us... above and beyond.
