Well, if this vessel is located in the Pacific Northwest, it's probably someone building an Ark.

It's been raining so much out here that this morning the weather forecaster said it was a dry morning because it was only drizzling!

It's been "sitting in a back garden since 1946" in England... modified a great deal...

It would have to have a metal hul, so I am guessing it to be a British LCA, or an LCM of some Mk# to have an area of sufficent deck space to be a Houseboat.

It's a British Mk1 LCM.... converted into a houseboat.

After posting the photograph, someone noted to me that there were a few of these up along the coast of Alaska.

I had to wonder if the people living in them were aware of their history... their original use. I hope that they were and that with time spent aboard, they appreciate those who originally operated them and were properly thankful that they were no longer needed for the original purpose.
