Hi guys... I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed
meeting all of you. LST-325 is a fantastic project,
I think of it as a national treasure, and I feel
really privliged to have had the opportunity to
help out. I hope to see you all in the future,
even in the galley ...

From a guy who likes to eat, I thank you and all the cooks for the great grub. Three times a day the crew looked forward to hearing Ernie's voice on the ship's speaker:

"Chow down for the crew! Chow down for the crew!"

(for those wondering who Sandy Wells is, he was a crewmember for part of the East Coast Voyage, helping out Joe and Ernie in the galley)

First photo is of Sandy hard at work in the galley.
Second photo is of Joe Lewin (left) and Ernie Andrus, also taken in the galley.

Ernie made the best tuna salad I've ever had in my life...and on those cold days in Boston, Joe's chili couldn't be beat.... I haven't met Sandy, but I'm sure he is just as skilled as Joe and Ernie... not to mention your breakfast chef!

I wouldn't put my cooking skills in the same room with any of them!
