Some of the things that have been happening lately:

We had a group of Sea Scouts come aboard today. Here is a shot of them coming aboard with
Deck Chief Jim Grayson waiting to greet them:

They came all the way up from Nashville Tennessee just to see the LST. Kelly Erkman
was the tour guide. Kelly is a LST Veteran and gave them a great tour.

Mike had a birthday. We won’t tell you how old he just became. It was an event
that Mike managed to hide from us and it slipped by. Our super sleuth, Bob Lenn,
found out about it and we managed a quick, belated, birthday card. I think that is a Two
dollar win ticket on a horse called Last Steed There.

Glenn returned for a visit after having a pace maker put in. Here he is with his cake.
Glenn tends to mess things up a bit. We had, what we thought, was reliable information,
that he would be coming in at 1:00 PM. So we had all the guys and the cake and ice cream
all scheduled to come in at 12:30. Yep. You guessed it. Glenn came in at noon.
Here he is with his cake.

You may notice in this photo and the one of Mike, the really nice desk lamp made
from real stained glass by Shawn McHugh. We will be selling chances on a drawing
for one just like it in the near future.

And here is another photo of Glenn with Ray, eating the cake. We overheard Glenn saying
something to Ray about, “Your piece is bigger than mine!”.

And Glenn, I wish you'd get back on the job. I'm having a hard time controlling these guys.
