Below is an announcement from the wife of a friend of the USS LST Ship Memorial. Our condolences to the family.

Merton W. Lake "RED" passed to the Lord July 19, 2007. He worked many hours when the ship was in Mobile Al and also took the trip down the Mississippi in 2003. We also attend LST week last year in Evansville. He will be buried at a later date at the SOUTH FLORIDA NATIONAL CEMETERY in Lake Worth Florida.
