Warning!!! The video is graphic!!!!!

Some could debate the music choice but...

Because of the relationship that the ship has I thought this might be appropriate here....

My father was a medic during WWII.
He left home in 1941 and returned in 1945.
He never talked about it.
I can see why.

Yes it is graphic but sometimes we need to be reminded of the price paid for our freedom.

Near the end of the clip if you listen carefully you can hear Morse Code in the background.
This is an actual code message. It is apparently a weather report. It is not known if it was an original report for the time of the landing.

It's all through the piece, but can only be heard during the quiet passages. Unfortunately the code characters are highly distorted (dashes same speed as dots, not 3 times longer) and makes it hard to decipher. I got about two sentences out of it and not enough info to report exactly what point was being made. It must be on the sound track of the musical group that recorded it.

I guess we should put it in the same context as that of the "Victory at Sea" musical passages....meant to imply important battle communications but not actually saying anything...

of today echo with the sounds of horror from yesterday. Let us NEVER FORGET the sacrifices that were made so that we might be free to enjoy the benefits that so many gave their tomorrows for.

Thanks for sharing Garry... very appropriate video to remind us of the cost of our Memorial Day weekend God bless all those who served and those who are serving. May He grant them grace and peace.
