I've rallied the troops here in Evansville. I called 10 people and asked them each to call 5 people and ask them to cast a vote. At 4:00 pm CST it's 344 yes and 266 no.

Yesterday, when I sent emails, I sent special emails to four people...all people who live in Evansville that I met when I visited there in the Summer of 2003. I've kept in touch with them - they are good people and are very supportive of the ship and Marina Pointe.

They were voting and making some calls as well. I'd say great minds think alike, but these Gators would never let me hear the end of it... they know the condition of my mind all too well

Seabat, this could end up 70% to 30% by tonight. See what you started Webskipper?

<font face="comic sans ms" color=navy size=4>Who? Me? All I was doing was practicing on my bugle! Can I help it if I woke everybody up?

But I don't count chickens before they hatch. Remember how far behind we were yesterday? Somebody could be calling their own friends even as we speak. Yogi Berra said something about that, I think.

On the other hand, the bigger a lead we get the more impressive the final tally. I hope to see even more of our people voting before it's done.

And I sure do I wish I was there with ya to pop open a brew and watch the 10 pm news!

<font face="comic sans ms" color=navy size=4>The final results were 455-273 (62.5%-37.5%).

When I first saw the vote page, it was at 130-223. Which means that since the call went out, the tally was (ahem) 325-50.

BZ, everyone! And many thanks for coming together on this.
