A storm is starting to gather about the entree selection for the banquet. We don't need any more storms so we'll put this to rest.

We've gotten a few requests to switch from fish, but just as many emails to not switch but to leave it fish.

After polling the LST Week Committee (a group of about 10 great volunteers here in Evansville that work on LST Week all year long) the thinking is the safest way to go is chicken. So that's settled. Chicken it is. From the emails to LST_325@hotmail.com this might not be the majority choice but just about everyone can eat chicken, and life's too short to argue about it.

Thanks for eveyone's input. All the dinners at The Centre are good.

I know you are kidding about being a vegetarian, I've had dinner with you, and I grilled some of Boats famous sausage burgers on the LST fantail during the East Coast Voyage.

But I guess I better announce that a vegetarian plate is available at the banquet. You do not have to order it ahead of time. The Centre always makes sure a few vegetarian plates are available.

Here I am grilling some of Boats sausage burgers in the Atlantic Ocean in '05. A submarine surfaced behind the ship just a few minutes after this photo was taken and I burned the burgers when I ran to my bunk to get my camera. But don't worry, I'm not doing the cooking at the banquet.

You give me your Chicken of the T and I'll give you my Neptune's salad!

I could also exchange my Souda Bay Green Beans for boat's Chicken of the T.

Impromptu Stromboli: Put Chicken of the T
and Neptune's salad between 2 pieces of bread and add Ketchup.

Wash everything down with beer!

Can I cook or what!!!!
