<r>I like how UrW is always developed by paying attention on details (such as this one), and improving them. Perhaps that attention on details is what makes this game great.<br/> That being said, I must admit I don't use nets myself, because I consider them "cheating". Real men start on winter, with...

I see no reason to argue with Steam fans. You do it the DRM-way, I do it without it. Nevertheless I'll revive my old-and-forgotten Steam account for the sake of posting a UrW review there.

Ok, since this is probably going off-topic, I started a new topic, voting for UrW on GoG. Let's do it, guys!

<r>Sadly, UrW is not on GoG, while it is on Steam now. GoG is a great alternative to Steam, and completely DRM-free. It is a pity UrW isn't there yet.<br/> So, all of you who have a GoG account (or want to make one if you don't - it's free), please <B><s>[b]</s><URL url="http://www.gog.com/wishlist/...

<t>I'll be honest: I hate Steam. I hate it beyond hate, because it is a huge DRM: you buy a game and it's not yours, not to mention "big brother" monitors everything you do on Steam.<br/> However, I totally understand why UrW is now on Steam. I believe it was a smart move, and I really hope it will ...

<r>Although I am not a fan of eye-candy, the graphics overhaul looks great: much better than the old graphics, while still respecting the old-good look and feel. Exactly the type of graphics improvements I was hoping for.<br/> <br/> Note: Unfortunately, I cannot test the Linux candidate version, bec...

"Now, check those designers, that's the way you do it:: micro-transactions and the DLC. That ain't working, money for nothing cause they call it free".
I couldn't agree more, but the singer forgot the Steam plague. The infamous DRM, also known as "you buy something and it's not yours".

With the proper grimaces and accent, this little story could be coming straight from one of Aki Kaurismäki's movies (by coincidence, he's a Finnish screenwriter and film director). ;)
And by the way, if you have never seen any of his movies, you really need to do so.

<r>From what Sami said, and an example of a quest he posted here in the past, it is obvious the quest system in UrW would be far from being the usual "go there, kill x mobs, come back for a reward" or "bring me x pieces of that". I am actually not surprised - unique quests for a unique game.<br/> <b...

It is definitely not easy at all, and probably needs an overhaul of the game engine itself, but it is worth the effort, because quests will be a huge improvement in the gameplay. Even more so, as Sami takes it seriously, as usual.
Keep up the good work, Sami. :)

<t>Riekke died literally seconds after I started playing my turn. Encountered a Njerpez in the wilderness, about 10 tiles away. Since Riekke's skills were low, and without any weapons. any attempt to face the Njerpez would be a suicide. So it tried to flee, running backwards. Well, the Njerpez had a...
