Way to go Lightning!!!!!

So I hear there were some sore losers at Saturday night's game between Akwesasne and Halton Hills....to the point that Lightning players were escorted to their bus? For those who commented on Akwesasne being such hostile fans should look in the mirror for once to stare hostile right in the face!! Way to go Lightning on a job well done and for making it home in one piece. Unfortunately some fans and players can't handle losing a game...just cool out and try again next year like everyone else.

Did you notice that after their win Fri. nite they were on here with something to say, and after Sat nite's game, there are no posts?

I heard the reffing was more fair, and the Lightning came to play Sat. nite. I caught Fri. nite's game but couldn't make it Sat.,wish I coulda though. My friend went and she said it was pretty hostile in the stands where she was sitting, and about six cruisers showed up to make sure the Lightning made it to their bus safely. She said the Halton fans began gathering around the Lightning dressing room at the end-wonder why (I'm sure it wasn't for an autograph). Glad to hear they made it home alive! Good luck with the next round, Oshawa is too far away for us.

1. If you have no idea what went on, and just assume that Halton is the Guilty party. The reason there was a crowd around the Lightning dressing room, was because that big guy; after being kicked out; came out and started lipping off to people. And yes, it was very tough oh him to come running off the bench and attack our goal scorer, someone who doesn’t fight and had no intention of fighting.

2. It is also very tough to go out and run your mouth on the floor about how tough you are and how you wanna fight, but yet you have a 4-point on and wont go “buckets-off” and when there is a fight, as soon as your helmet gets taken off, all you try and do is throw the person the floor and you want nothing to do with them.

3. Everyone complains about how dirty Halton was, and how Halton was being racist, ect. I’m not saying we were, but really, what do you want us to do? When were out there and were getting called “white-boys”, “white-trash” and other racist names towards us, were getting speared when we go to cross-check, on our way to the bench we get cross-check below the hips, or slashed in the knee’s. So honestly, what do you expect us to do Sir/Mme, were not gonna just stand there and take it because were the under-dogs. We put as much work and effort into our season as your club did, were not gonna go down with out a fight. If you stick us, were gonna stick you right back, and same goes for you guys, if we stick you, were expecting you to stick us back.

4. I just wanna say that #14 Andrew Lazore, has proberly the best shot I have ever seen and can score from anywhere; #8 Brandon Francis, has got possible the best hands and the best moves in close to the goalie that I have ever seen (and not to mention that those two players are honestly the nicest and funniest guys on the floor); and #16, sorry bud, I’m not to sure of your name, I think you have got the quickest feet I have ever seen. And your goalies, wow, can they shut down that net when they need too!

5. I’m sure that this attains to your club as well. For all of us down here in Halton, lacrosse is our life, when were not playing it, were thinking about it. When were at work, we wish we were playing it. So when we get out onto that floor, were gonna give it 110% and do whatever it takes to win. Same with the Lightning. Whatever happens on the floor stays on the floor.

6. Till next boys, Good luck against the Gaels! Go out and win the East, win the Ontario’s and win a Founders. Thanks for an awesome series!

Well, I decided to comment on Sat. night's game because my cousin Andrew Lazore #14 cut his conversation short to his family (my family) because his team had to be escorted to their bus...which left us really worried, for their safety of course. And you can't put blame entirely on us because of Charlie Goodleaf (if thats the "big guy" you are referring to)...each individual makes his own choices regardless of who started the fight....and maybe he did or did not have a reason to do what he did, but as fans you need to let the coaching staff handle it. The only time I would step in on something is if a fan shouted a comment directly at ME, and even then I'll let it slide because it wouldn't be worth my time. I wasn't at the game but I heard that it was a fair game which unfortunately the Lightning don't see too much of because we not only play against the other team but the refs as well. It is up to the team and the coaching staff to keep each other level headed during the game. We as fans do not hear the bs that is said on the floor b/w players...and speaking from experience, there is plenty of bs that is said. The only thing that we as fans could do is remind our players to JUST PLAY THE GAME!!

Just to add, I was scrolling down on your message once again and realized that you had made the comment that "Whatever happens on the floor stays on the floor" so what is the need for Halton fans to huddle outside our locker room? And same goes for us about with regard to your statement "were not gonna just stand there and take it" which is the main reason to why our guys retaliate. Basically, ditto to your comments in point three (same goes for us, your guys want to talk smack about us, I guess we'll feed it right back).

with such Bs coming from the lightening fans and MillerI have to. As far as the reffing goes...it was absolutly horrible saturday night..that is why I am sure the awk fans had no problem with it. The night before they were sooo good , I just couldn't understand why it was so different that night...but Mcgrath was at his finest on Saturday. proof is in the penalty minutes..I believe HH had alot more on sat and they were almost deadlocked in minutes the night before

As for the "huddling around the AWK dressing room"///lmao gimmie a break..one of ur players came out of the room and started chirping and ended up pushing a fan..which at that time was one of the only ones down there. The other people that showed up where there to make sure
nothing happened.

The cops were called by the Halton Arena staff toprevent something from happening , not because something did happen...and by no means were u ESCORTED out.You make it sound like people were tryin to fight the AWK team..which is def. BS. I think the AWK team thought they were in there own barn where that stuff actually happens.

And as for Miller...you are def a tool. You obviously know nothing about what it takes to apply for an A team...stop being a jealous suck. Hammer is twice the GM you'll ever be..so give it up.

Halton did not TRY and start fights untill after one AWK player(there biggest) LEFT THE BENCH to fight Bloxam..who is not a fighter. They also took a good run at Edwards..which was def. uncalled for.

bottom line...once again the AWK fans are completely wrong and fabricating the truth, Miller is still jealous of Hammer and a tool.

OH and Miller...I did expect them to shake hands after a hard fought series...its called class.I have seen alot worse series than that come down to hand shakes and good lucks after it was all said and done. The war was over ..AWK won..show some class..Halton tried to.but I really didn't expect much different from them..especially after being the instigater(sp) in the first fight and running Edwards. The two handed swing to the head of phillips by Adams goalie stick wasn't a good way to keep things calm either.

good luck gaels..kick some A$$.

whatever buddy, now I'm gonna stick up for the Lightning I never said Reffing was good Saturday knuckle head I HATE McGRATH!!!!

and as for the tool comment, isn't your GM nicknamed named after a Hammer? wow

I've never been a GM nor will I am a fan who loves the game

YOU are a whiner and can't stand losing the game.

Remember when Guelph got put out 3-1 was I whining no ONLY after game 1 because that was bad, but whatever stuff happens but we got beat by the Better and more Skilled Spartan and you guys got beat by the more talented and skilledful Lightning so YOU suck that up, and hope you won't have to lose to them again next year because your be getting ran over by the "A" loop

thanks

Thomas.
