If Nitros win who will they play? Will they play Ajax? Cause Ajax was the lowest point team on the other side during the round robin? Do the Nitro play (if they win) Owen Sound because they were the lowest point team in the other division? The whole 3rd place team cross-over was another bad idea guys...Please find a format or several formats next year, send out a survey to each and every player in the league and have them check off their top choice. Since there is so much parody in this league anyways and it seems anyone can be first place in their respective divisions I believe there will be one format that will be choosen by the majority of the players.

My two cents on the playoff format...

"2nd Round-Semi Final Crossover 3 out of 5-highest place team based on regular season points plays the lowest placed team based on regular season points in the other division must be completed by August 1st."

So if Norwood goes on, we will be playing OWEN SOUND and Mohawk will be playing Ajax-Pickering Rock.

There is a crossover again, so 1st in the east will play last in the west, and 1st in the west will play last in the east.

So either Norwood or Brooklin will play Owen Sound and Mohawk will play Ajax-Pickering.

This morning, according to both League Commisioner Sharon McKechnie and Woodsmen General Manager Mark Berner, these are the scenarios pertaining to the result of the Norwood-Brooklin game Tuesday night.

If Norwood wins tomorrow night, the Nitro would face Ajax-Pickering in the semifinals, while the Woodsmen would meet the Mohawk Stars.

If Brooklin wins tomorrow night, the Merchants would play Owen Sound in the semifinals, while the Mohawk Stars would face Ajax-Pickering in the other matchup.

You've gotta like a round robin that goes down to the final game and every team has a victory except the one team ( defending Canadian Champions, at that ) that lost a bunch of overtime decisions in the round robin.

See you in round 2.

if there is parity in this league wouldn't really matter who plays who. By now most teams are used to the travel

Now that some teams went out and paid for a bunch of playoff players, it is a little different now. Travel makes a massive difference!!! Like Nitro going to Owen Sound on a Friday night! Long day of work for most then straight to a bus for a 3 hour plus trip with a fast food meal in their bellies, come on...makes a huge difference and we know that was a planned strategic move by Owen Sound and it clearly worked. I just hope Norwood wins this game on Tuesday and if we do play Owen Sound I believe we will be a lot tougher when it comes to agreeing to scheduling of games. You reap what you sow boys.

Sorry Fred, but both Sharon and Mark are wrong.

Taken right from the Sr. B web site, it says;

"2nd Round-Semi Final Crossover 3 out of 5-highest place team based on regular season points plays the lowest placed team based on regular season points in the other division must be completed by August 1st" (http://www.seniorblacrosse.com/2007/sen2007play.html)

So therefore,

Norwood/Brooklin will face Owen Sound and Mohawk will face Ajax-Pickering Rock.

East:
1) Norwood/Brooklin
2) Ajax-Pickering

West:
1) Mohawk
2) Owen Sound

First in east (Norwood/Brooklin) will play second in west (Owen Sound).
First in west (Mohawk) will play second in east (Ajax-Pickering).

just give it up and stop making excuses for the horrible game that was played the other night by ur team, bus ride , paid players , fast food , what else is there im sure you can think of another one....i dont see what having paid players( even though they dont )on our team have anything to do with the fact that you guys played one crapppy game, or is it maybe that no one wants to play for your team, mmm that could be it,, it was a well played game by owen sound. period.give the boys some credit there coming around,,,
