The Lakers are pretty sharp when they make trades or have access to players. They have the assets to carry out the transactions.I guess the Lakers are going to get stronger.

That'll make them awfully strong on the right side if he plays, with Scott and Shawn Evans, Tracey Kelusky and Josh Wasson as well as Sean Thompson. The left side looks pretty good too, with Grant, Vitarelli, Clancy and Josh Gillam. And that's without knowing if John Tavares and Dan Carey will be playing this summer.
Brad Self will be a major addition to the team, as well. He finally got healthy while he was in Germany for hockey, which means he should have his speed back. THat will be important for them with Ryan Sharp injured.

As Tavares gets older, who knows what his summer plans are but does anybody know Steenhuis' plans?

I wonder if trading for Francis means the Lakers aren't going after Snider this year?

or does it have an impact on Kyle Laverty. If they keep both guys that's a lot of toughness.

Well, I would assume that he has committed.

Prouts summer income from the Nationals is/would be suspect and the Redmen certainly can't afford to write a cheque.

Lavs brings a bit more outside of the toughness, though. He was playing really good defense in the playoffs and Mann Cup. I think bringing Francis in might mean a lot of press box time for Sean Thompson, because he and Josh Wasson were their main faceoff guys last year.
