Box Lacrosse Revival
In Support Of
Epilepsy Awareness


Saturday September 25th. 2010
At Withrow Park (In Toronto's Greektown neighbourhood)
Box Lacrosse Tournament is being held in support of
Team Epilepsy's 5k walk in the Toronto waterfront Marathon (the next day).


You Are Welcome
The entry fee for the day is $10:00 per player, all proceeds going to Team Epilepsy.
Players can register in advance by emailing info@torontolightninglacrosse.com

Players from all over the GTA are invited to come out for a fun day lacrosse tournament.
While teams will consist primarily of adults, all players 12 years and over are invited to take part.
For those without equipment, extra helmets, gloves and sticks will be available.
Beginners are welcome and will receive free hands on instruction.


Rules
The format of the game is safe, NON-CONTACT version of Box.
stick to stick checks are allowed,
no player can hold the ball more then 7 seconds.
NO body checking or dangerous shots.
45 minute games, minimum two games per team.
tournament runs from 11am to 7pm

Members of Team Epilepsy
Will be on hand to support the festivities, as we lend our support to this affliction that affects a quarter million Canadians.
Free BBQ, including snacks, drinks and bottled water.
Friends and family are welcome to come down and cheer, eat, and enjoy the many things to do in and around the park.

Withrow Park
Recently renovated outdoor rink and clubhouse. Once a hotbed for lacrosse in the late 1960's and 1970's. This Saturday will mark it's return after 30 year absence. Located in the heart of Greektown on Carlaw Ave. south of the Danforth Ave.


Come on out, play Lacrosse, support Epilepsy Awareness.
