Hi just purchased a bwe luocus on ebay complete car in bits it has triumph spitefire engine,box,
Suspention ect, how do I go about getting it road legal,

Welcome to the Locust owners gang . The fun starts now !
Where abouts are you located ?
Getting things legal is quite a minefield , but , not impossible .Mainly
it needs to be built to sva rules and then pass an sva test , like a super
mot . This is presuming the car hasn't been on the road previously , and so
is not registered as a locust , already .
There are loads of queries and so on , by all means give me a ring and we can

I live in ripon north Yorkshire
got the car for me and the grand kids to rebuild,ive been in the garage
trade for over 40 years.
the car has been built to a high standard, but not reg for the road.

I will give you a ring some time to discus the best way forward with a vew to
put it on the road

The best thing to do first,is to download/copy the IVA manual.If it is part built you will need to check that it is done to the iva,if not will have to redo.I totally stripped mine and rebuilt.Rebuild it it to the lowest requirement to pass the iva,ie no windscreen,then you don't have to mess around with the washers and heating/defrost system etc.
