Caleb was rather new in town. He had barely been here for a week before he has been instructed that he had to attend training sessions at this course. He could only imagine it was a way for hybrids to master all their new abilities, the ones given to them by becoming half a vampire. He didn't see the need to go on the training course but evidently Klaus did so he would oblige. Plus looking at it made it look like fun anyhow, and right now he couldn't think of a worse way to spend his morning.
Stepping up into the clearing where the course had been built. He removed his jacket and put his sketch pad down underneath it, and then his T-shirt so he was shirtless and he didn't want it getting sweaty while he was running this course. This course did just looked entirely too easy. Getting up onto a platform from assuming it was where he was going to start a run of this course. Looking around it for a moment, he leapt off and started going round the course slowly at first getting a feel for it but on the second go around he was blurring around it and ended up eventually going quite fast.
All the while he never once lost his footing until he stopped himself back on the starting platform smiling at how easy it was. When you had done it a few times slowly picking up your speed was easy. Deciding not to have another run at it he leapt down from the platform landing gracefully on the ground. He sat back on a broken tree stump for a moment leaving his shirt and jacket on the dry ground beside him and grabbed his sketch pad and his cigarettes and lighter from his jacket pocket. Placing one loosely between his lips sparking the lighter to life covering the flame from the small breeze with his other hand and lit the cigarette placing the packet and the lighter back on his jacket.
Opening up the sketch pad, something he used before he actually painted it onto a canvas. There was no room for mistakes when you put it on something so big so he found it best to practise it first on paper. Most of his drawings were of the supernatural mainly the wolves and the witches: not vampires. Though he made a human turning into a wolf look graceful and easy when in actual fact it wasn't. Though the latest one he had been working on was a face. Half wolf half human and he had been stuck on it for ages trying to find the perfect transition in between and was coming up blank. So as he smoked his cigarette he stared at the sheet of paper his pencil hanging loosely between his fingers as he looked upon the drawing of a half wolf face.
