The day started off pretty well, no whispers of direction or guidance, in face it was a rather quiet and peaceful day for the most part. Nova hadn’t been in town for long, just a few days and already she had met a nice young woman around her own age, a fellow witch if one could image, it was quite unlikely that something as coincidental as her meeting a fellow witch as the first person to meet in a town, though Nova never believed in coincidences, only plans and fate, this... meeting a possible new friend in this Miss Cassandra was what Nova believed to be fate and that it was fate leading her on a journey that even she dared not dream.
Nova had spent most of the day in the woods, getting a feel for the area as she had a feeling she would be spending far more time here than she had in other places over the years and she really didn’t mind it as it seemed like the place was very pleasant... so far.
Nova decided to take a swim as she came to the falls which she had come across earlier, it was a pleasant and quiet place the falls, it was a nice place to meditate and unwind, though Nova was rarely ever stressed out, she did all she could to keep herself calm and tempered, as she knew unlike anyone else that there was a dark side within her, one she never let free but was always scratching at the surface, trying to be free.
Approaching the top of the falls she loosed her long braid, placed her bow and quiver to the side along with her pouch. taking off her light coat and shoes placing them to the side as well she felt the slight chill in the air that lingered from the winter but it didn’t bother her much, she knew the water would be far more chilling but that would only last for a time. So closing her eyes she took a breath and stepped to the edge of the falls and raised her arms out spread, she smiled as she pictured herself as an eagle with it’s wings out and ready for flight before she jumped, feeling the free fall and rush as she flew down and down. bringing her ands together above her just as she was right above the water.
‘Splash’ she sliced right through the water with grace, arching her back as she made her way back to the surface. Slowly her head raised and emerged from the water, her eyes opening to see that she was not alone, a young man not far off was sitting there with a book who looked like he was writing. Nova smiled a little and tilted her head, “Hi there,” she said with a grin, “Sorry, I didn’t know anyone else was here”
