Hi all,

I am writing a book on the liberation of Eindhoven and did like to know who the Lieutenant is on some photos I received from a citizen of Eindhoven. Is there anyone that recognizes his face maybe from other photos or know who he is? He is part of the 506th regiment, but I am not sure which battalion. It would be nice to have him identified in the book.

Unknown 506 Lt.jpg Thanks in advance :)

Regards,
Barry

I found a couple of 506 troopers with strong similarities:

1/Lt David R Galarno, 506th PIR Co A

1/Lt James F Dunham, 506th PIR Co A

Capt James L Walker, 506th PIR Co G

Unfortunatly the grandson of Capt. James L. Walker confirmed it is not his grandfather and according to one of Mark's posts Lt. David R. Galarno was SWA in Son on 17 sept. 1944 and never returned to combat after that. With the picture beeing taken on 18 sept. 1944, it neither could have been him.
