Due to many complaints from TT Forum visitors about political posts being mixed-inwith WWII 101st Airborne posts, I am going to pin this subject to the top of the page andask that anyone posting about the current deplorable happenings in this area, put them withinthis thread.  Recently, Jake Powers accused ME of being the real 1196 Copper.  I can assureall of you that he is NOT me and I actually do not know his real name or identity, nor the areawhere he lives and works in law enforcement. In the future, all posts related to the POTUS or the current federal government and their policies, should be placed here.If they are placed elsewhere you will be asked to move them here, or else have them deleted.
Thanks, M. Bando

Cooper...eh I mean MB, I did not accuse you of being "Cooper" I only was busting your chops and presenting a possible theory! At the end of the day it is all good. And nothing for nothing, the new pinned topic approach is a brilliant idea!

I like this idea Mark. I
think that in any discussion involving a large group side issues will come up
among some in the group. These can be amusing (pastries and ice) or offensive (“ass
kissing commie sympathizers”). It is the content and its purpose especially if
the one posting is attempting to make the side issue the dominant one that is
likely to prove a needless distraction to the group’s primary agenda. (As
someone once described it “carpet bombing the forum"). I note that you sometimes
initiate non topic posts but you set a good example. You are careful in citing
a source and make a disclaimer if you are unsure. You also limit your non topic
posts in number and you don’t try to link them surreptitiously to the events of
WWII.

That you were accused of
being Copper is a little amusing considering the kinds of material that he
posts. He has, however, on a number of occasions implied that he knows you. If
that’s true, it must be the cause of a lot of head scratching.

The real Copper, if there in
fact is one, would have us believe that he is some kind of super patriot and
that those who don’t march to the beat of his drum are somehow less so. That is
an affront to anyone who loves his country and to anyone who cares about the
way the world sees it. He apparently thinks that the liberation of Europe was
incidental to the defeat of Hitler and that Europeans should worship the ground
we walk on. The allied invasion of Europe was a joint effort against a common
enemy. The European members of the TT forum have been more than tolerant of Copper’s
comments and in at least one instance, I believe, tried to reach out to him. I
think the reply went over his head.

If the conservative point of
view is ever to again prevail, it won’t be by alienating the electorate. Not
every voter is a hard core liberal or a hardcore conservative. There are, I
think, a sizeable number of people who are not as concerned with political
philosophy as they are with their daily bread. While that group may be
shrinking due in large measure to the pressures within an increasingly polarized
society to choose up sides, it still exists. What is missing is a leader behind
whom a majority can rally. If choosing up sides is the only option, where is
one to suppose that will lead?

Bill you can be sure that if a leader emerges on the right that he(she) will be quickly beaten into pulp before the eyes of the voters and shamed into a fetal position by the small number of leftist with the help of their media.

And if the GOP  does not change its docile ways and allow it we will again be at the whips end of another lying corrupt dictator, maybe one wearing a pant suit.

This time accusing critics of being sexist instead of racist.

These signs appears along I-5 in Washington state on private property and are privately owned. Can you say freedom of speech?

The State of Washington is being threatened with  withdrawal of Federal funds if they cannot make the owner cow down and remove them.

    Thin skinned again, nothing racist.

But this is the same left that made the film about the assignation of George Bush while he was still president, no one was called out then.

Great idea Mark.  I may have suggested this.
But, the fact still remains.... everyone on this forum is known to each other by name.  1196copper should be no different.
The point I was trying to make is that you have to be prepared to give to the people you lead. You must give in every way. You must give of your time, and you must be consistent in your treatment of them. You must never take from people you lead. Later, at Brécourt Manor, Compton did a fantastic job leading his men.

Jeez, Bill. All of my college professors combined weren't that boring. And believe you me: most were f'ing boring. Please don't become a shrink? Don't ever become an author either. Reading your comment is like listening to elevator music. Good night nurse!
However, you were right about one thing: Me being accused of being Mark Bando IS amusing!!!

Those CJ professors made sure I only wanted to do one thing: to work the streets. Something only one of them had EVER done.
And I only went to Investigations after I got hurt. Otherwise I would have never left.

Just because he is a TRUE historian and great author Mark, no doubt, receives a lot of correspondence and book orders. Mark, I've sent you something that will help your memory as far as your reply back in '08.

Maybe I wasn’t explicit
enough in my comments about elections and choosing up sides. I was trying to
say that you win elections by persuading the electorate that your man has
earned their vote. When I mentioned choosing up sides, I was thinking more
along the lines of instigating mob action. The latter is your apparent motivation
Copper and somehow that doesn’t seem consistent with your calling as a police
officer. Or, is it your notion that the sheep are a helpless herd there for you
to chase at your master’s bidding? (And who then is your master if not the
sheep?)

By the way, it seems rather
obvious that Mr. Tollison (is it Ron or is it Dick?) is your principle
cheerleader. Wherever you go, he is always near and you share a common attitude
and writing style. Could it be that you are his creation? Is all this banter
part of some kind of mind game? Are you having fun?

Bill: Ask Ron from Texas if he speaks/writes Dutch. There's the answer to your question.

First I'm Mark and now I'm Ron? Yes, I'm starting to have some fun.

Since 1196copper won't reveal his name, let's just say moving forward he is Mark Fuhrman ? ?
The ridiculous game of being anonymous on this Forum is insulting to everyone else.  Hell . . . maybe he's Salman Rushdie ? ?
