Hello Paul.  I am not sure if you are still on this forum.  My family is traveling to Normandy June 2-6 this year.  My father's brother (my uncle) was in the 101st airborne and fought at the bridges.  My father was a little too young for the war but is an amature historian and has always wanted to see the bridge area.   We visited in 2006 and could not determine exactly where they were.  Can you provide us some guidance or possibly someone who could escort us to the location?
