"Entre LE 11 et 22 juin" is not good in French

You must write "Entre LES 11 et 22 juin"

Dear Trigger Timers
Desperatly need help here.

The Plaque we are commisioning, is within budget, we are having it made in the USA, it will be 24 x 30 inches in size and weigh in at around 75 Pounds.
To get it shipped to UK/France it will cost us nearly as much as the memorial itself, it is going to put us way over what we have available in funding.
Can anyone who is coming over to Normandy from the States in June help us out by bringing it over with them. We know that with airfairs the way they are this may prove a problem in itself in regards to individuals weight allowances.
If anyone can help us achieve our aim of getting the memorial to the Army Nurses and the 91st and 128th Evac Hospitals established please let us know as soon as you can
Kindest Regards
Lee

Draft 6 of the memorial Plaque.
Please note there is still some fine tuning to do, but it will be down to the locals to check it and confirm it is ok in regards to text.

Recce Team back at various CP's
Seems like we were away for weeks, so much packed into just two days.
Lots to tell and all good news for a change.
The groups reputation in regards to what it is we are about had preceeded us and lots of people knew about us and what we had planned.
I have no doubts now that this will be the best trip to date for the group and we are about to make history and help others to also.
Over 350 miles were covered from hitting the beach and it seemed just as many on foot when on the night exercise recce
A full report will follow, once rested up.
Regards to all
Lee

The Army Nurses Memorial Unvailing meeting was of course the priority.

But after we got around a bit.

After a very long day we socialised with our host Irish Dave and Celine.

On the return trip we paid our respects.

I'm very much looking forward to attending the ceremony. I would try to bring the plaque over with me, but I am also bringing one of my own.

Hi Rob

I will be taking guest names in a few weeks, when I post up please jump in and let me know your availability.

The unvailing will take place at 1400hrs on the 8th June.

Thanks for reminding everyone of the assistance we are looking for to get this plaque over from the States, we are being qouted 900 dollars for shipment, putting us over budget at this time.

Can I ask what the plaque is you are bringing over.

Kind Regards

Well a lot going on here in regards to Junes  activities, especially in regards to memorial
unveilings, you would think it was the 70th anniversary!

Well to avoid a repetition of what is going on in other areas I will get the
ball rolling in regards to invitations.

First off the Marie and the land owner has made it quite
clear this is a Private event and they do not want to make it yet another
Circus, SME was mentioned!

The main priority is that every member of the village
wishing to attend will be able to do so and will be in a position to see what
is happening; likewise any Veteran who we can confirm are going to still be in
Normandy on the 8th June and can attend will be accommodated first
and foremost with their guardians.

Other than that there will be Historians and reenactors
attending, but access to the memorial area and the Hospital display will be
controlled.  Other than those members of
the Honor Guard undertaking the memorial unveiling task, there will be no
weapons of any description permitted in Bouteville as this is not in fitting
with the Hospital Location.  WWII Uniforms
will be allowed, however other than those taking part in the Hospital display,  It is requested that this is kept to “clean fatigue”
(Leave webbing and Helmets at home)

Over the next few weeks I will be making contact with people
in Normandy and getting invites out.

If you are part of the Ravenoville Guest list then be
assured you will be invited to this event, I have full faith in Irish Dave’s “
A Gathering Of Friends” Concept.

It is appreciated that the 8th June is not seen
as peek time in Normandy and most of the area closes for the winter on the 7th
June, however this was the plan, it is the closest date to when the 91st
and 128th Evac Hospitals came ashore at UTAH.  If we that is the FAAA are there alone with
just the village members that will be fine by us, if some of you can join us,
that will also be great
