I have a 2007 Ford f450 super duty tow truck. I can’t get power to the Vulcan wheel lift all of a sudden unless I hold down the gas pedal. Need help to figure out the problem. Thanks!

Standard trans? Auto? Wrecker or rollback?

Sounds like low hydraulic pressure.

My husband changed the hoses running through the lift because they were leaking. Maybe we are thinking it’s the PTO?

Might be spool valve seals bad or linkage not moving far enough for adequate pressure. Do you hear fluid bypass sounds?

We bled all the air out. The boom will only go up or down if we hold the gas pedal down.

Low hydraulic pressure. I would guess you changed the filter.
