I would not to be that guy in picture number one if that snatch block explodes. One trick I got told was to add old heavy duty blankets or even extra chain on top of the cables when winching heavy loads to help the lines fall in case of problems. Keep up the good rigging!

Know you rigging an implied loads and failures shouldn't happen. How is this any different than every wrecker ever made with the location of the controls?

I am amazed it pulled this load though! I really need one of these.

I would say NO. How much energy are on those lines? ANYTHING you put on them,IF you have a failure becomes a Projectile. In almost 50 years on the job,I have NEVER covered a line,EVER.
