I am looking for a system that can be installed on a unit to track history of movement times, speed and locations traveled. Any recommendations?

Also works on many cellphones; there is an additional charge, but it is quite less that a full blown tracking system.

And, the phone has to be in the vehicle; otherwise, you're tracking a person, not a truck.

not too sure what they use, but a local franchise co. has a system that not only tells you where the truck is, but it also tells you if the PTO is engaged.Metro Auto Body

We just installed Teletrac last weekend. I got the software installed on my laptop the other day and so far so good.

It will tell you when the truck is started, when it is shut off and if you have a PTO with a switch (not a cable) it can tell you every time the PTO is turned on and off.

History replay is great. I can get up in the moring and see which truck went where while I was in dream land.

A friend of mine has teletrac on his trucks. I was looking at the monitor in his office the other day. Each truck is displayed as an icon relative to the type of truck...flatbed, heavy, etc. along with the rate of speed, BUT the coolest thing was that the icon changed to an airplane if the truck was speeding. How cool is that?

I would need FAA numbers 1/2 the time instead of DOT numbers at that rate
