We are chipping away at the stone!! Things are moving along at the STC engine room!
Did you ever notice that the cylinders on top of the dilithium chamber were not the same diameter in TOS?

Our partners and good friends over at Aztek Dummy have provided these great graphics for our engine room console displays:

Here are is a current photo of the STC engine room progress.  We are starting to prime the walls which is starting to make the set look much different:

It may be of interest also the ceiling structure design illustrated in these two renderings:

Our super bad-ass painting (among other talents) crew!!  Thank-you Jared, Mark and Charles!

Lastly, our good friend Mark's son Jared put together this great time-lapse of the engine construction over a two day period: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/g8mje7m1vkmq ... ow+Res.mpg

We are continuing to work on the Engine Room and starting working on the ceiling this week; we made some good progress. Here are some photos from the last few days
Got the control consoles cut out for the detailing

Here is a great shot from the scaffolding

The ceiling is made of foam by our good friends at Brock Foam and was in many parts. Here is a section partially assembled prior to hanging them

The first section up!

Assembling the next sections! This is our good friend from Brock Foam who cut the ceiling and help assemble and hang it

Here is a great shot from an interesting angle of the second section installed:

Scott and Brandon hanging the end section.

Starting to look more and more like the engine room!

This is part of our great construction crew. These guys are the best!!!

Here is the latest on the Engine room. We have just about everything done with the exception of finishing up the core and painting. The hand rail will be delivered and installed in about 2 weeks!

This is an awesome build. Are having using Masonite and filler sanded smooth for the walls?
