A quote from another site with which I agreed and am now on the bas list!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have read this thread from the beginning. I started out welding in a small machine/welding shop. I worked construction welding pipe and structural iron. I worked for Westinghouse during the nuclear days. I was certified to weld on nuclear components. Last I worked in a ASME certified pressure vessel plant. I believe I know something about welding and some of the statements made really surprise me. Some of you people could sure impress me with your welding machines ability. Whew and I thought I use to be a hotdog welder.

Well at least you finally got on a list Egon.

The folks on them tractor boards know everything. A while back there was a thread about how mean and nasty real weldors are cause real weodors don't agree with the know everything tractor weldors.

Way I understand weld, either it's welded or it ain't.

The kind of shyt those goons apply doesn't even compare with SuperGlue.

JT will be happy to Xray test it for them.

Most of the time you need to know that as the weld is being laid.

I've seen some beautiful mig beads that didn't stick. I've even laid some of them (found out with destructive testing). ;)
