Ashwood, ah, how she already missed the warmth of the sun, but she had felt a pull in the direction of Azmerath and when she felt a pull she could not deny it. To do such a thing would be going against her make up and would have caused her more than slight discomfort. And so she allowed herself to pull up the roots of her feet to teleport to Azmerath. Quite different from her own home, she could smell the salt of the ocean, could hear the waves lapping at the shore and was immediately drawn to it.

Smiling softly, she crept toward the shoreline and bent down, her fingers dipping into the cooler liquid. A few feet away from her she could see a small school of fish and she slowly crept forward, her white, sheer gown becoming wet in the sun, but it felt good to her and as her fingers dipped into the water once more she felt the nibbles of the fish. Yasmeen let out a gasping laugh before she pulled a hand away, her fox brown eyes alight with mirth as she stood to her feet once more. She hadn't a clue why she was called here, but she had been and now it was time to discover why. As per usual, she would feel a pull into the direction of where or who needed her, but this time it was muted or dulled. Discovering which way to go was likely going to be more difficult this time.

Eventually, Yasmeen decided to travel along the shoreline, surely there was some form of civilization to be found and if she found a living individual perhaps then it would be made clear as to why she was sent? Then, just as the stars began to dot the night sky, she spotted a figure lying about on the sand. "Greetings. I find myself... a little lost, do you think you can help me?" she still couldn't make out the figure, but her lips were spread wide into a smile.

Yasmeen, in contrast to her life's counter part, had always been wise beyond her years. She was the mature one, yet not entirely reserved. She enjoyed laughter, living and life simply bubbled from her laughing brown eyes. Twenty years upon the terrain, twenty long and hard years had matured her mentally, though she still sought out joy. Such proof was in the partnering with Shane, he too was full of life and energy, which she was drawn to. She wondered if it was not the fates finally rewarding her, until of course he met his fate and she was left to birth the triplets by herself. Motherhood was a fleeting thing for her, since not long after her children were born she too met her fate. A curse, she thought, most assuredly a curse plagued the family. So to the heavens it was for her and when she passed the holy ground, she was promised a second chance in the way of being a servant - a healer - a guardian, but she must not meddle in the affairs of her family or seek them out. To ensure this, she was made invisible every time she neared her kin. Forced to watch her grow and suffer behind what felt like a mirror barrier. She longed to touch, to hold, to wipe their tears. For a time she served as their guardian until she was ripped away from them, a sadness which still burns a hole in her being even after thousands of years.

A hand was shielding her eyes from the sun, which were lit up and appeared to be more honey than brown at the moment. She lowered her hand immediately when there was no immediate response, her mind flicking through languages, perhaps it was the wrong tongue she used. Slowly, she moved so the sun was behind her and she was illuminated by it - so was the man who was currently leaping to his feet to grip upon her. She was rendered speechless as she peered up into his blue eyes. Shane... Yasmeen could scarcely breathe and as he embraced her tightly, she blinked. How could this be? How could he see her - granted he was no blood kin, but he had known her. She let out a squeak as he began to spin them. "Shane...Shane!" she cried out as they toppled into the sand, her lithe body crashing into his firm frame.

Strands of ebony hair fell into her sunkissed face. "Shane, let me speak.." she said, her voice wavering in the slightest as he began to nuzzle her. She felt her cheeks grow warm, years may have past but her body still remembered every contour of his. Straddling his form, she cupped his face as she once used to, her soft eyes gazing into his own with a stern quality to them. "Listen to me, I did not hide from you! I would have sought you if I could, but I was forbidden. You wouldn't have seen me even... why can you see me now?" she dropped her hands from his face and peered around. "What have you done?" she squinted her eyes as she gazed down upon him. What were the rules regarding Shane now, if she could see him,...did it mean she was here to help him? Was she to guard him? She feared...this was a test and if she did not pass she could possibly lose her wings, as well as her place amongst the Angels."I have been hidden from you.... I didn't hide willingly." she said in somewhat of a terse tone.

”I was forbidden to see you or…” she paused, pressing her lips together before she let the next set of words tumble from her lips. ”Anyone else that may have known or cared for me or I them; why, it was a condition if I was to be given a second chance.” she huffed slightly as he nuzzled into her neck, her fingers playing at the back of his. This was truly Shane and it made her heart clench, both in happiness and fear. ”Love is forbidden to those that are in service to another. Love is a distraction and something that a guardian can not involve him or herself in.” She pressed her nose to his, perhaps this was just a memory, some form of trick to her mind, in which case a chaste kiss to his lips would mean nothing, right? Just to silence his running mouth and so she pressed a soft kiss to his lips and felt his warmth, his firm frame against her own and she was filled with dread.

”Yes, I am here, but you shouldn’t see me. You don’t understand…” She blinked, so, he had endured a similar experience to her own? She had never heard of what happened to him or where he was, she was never allowed to ask. She ran her fingers along his face and allowed her forehead to rest against his own. ”I too went to live amongst them, I was given a second chance and because of my willingness to help people I was given the title as a guardian, a healer. “ she pulled away from him and knelt in the sand, her form which was adorned in white seemed lit up by the sunset. ”I am here with you now.” she grimaced at her own words; they seemed to bite far more than she intended. She would always want to spend her life with him, wasn’t that what she had dreamt of?

Yasmeen had longed to have so much more with him, a family, a life filled with love and laughter. Together, and their children little carbon copies of themselves. Oh, if only he knew…
