Gintama. Definitely an odd place to start, with a manga that parodies other manga and anime, but got into it anyway.

Fushigi Yuugi was my first manga, which I started buying in 2004, I believe. I remember it was awful because Viz started with volumes 1 and 9 for some reason and every two months released the next two, so there was a huge gap in the middle of the series for over a year. Also, volume 3 was almost impossible to find, and I considered skipping it. I now own most of Yuu Watase's manga that's been translated, with a few volumes missing here and there.

I started off on Anime, but the first manga I read was Blade of the Immortal. The artwork totally blew my mind! After that I read Blood + and then Death Note and I became hooked!

Sailor Moon

I started reading it in elementary school. I discovered it at a local book store, and loved the artwork.

I believe the first one I read was Kamichama Karin Chu, which was a sequel to Kamichama Karin that I only watched the anime for.

I was never attracted to mangas or anime in my childhood as my others friends were but four years ago one of them conviced me to watch One Piece and from this time I never stop.

The first manga I had was sailor moon. Someone gave it to me as a birthday present when I was still very young and when we all loved sailor moon

but the story of that volume was different and i was kinda confused about the storytelling ... not used to mangas yet :-)

years later I went to the library to borrow 3 volumes of inuyasha
first manga, I was so exited, and I loooooved it
later I found out I could read manga in the internet
there I found my passion for manga <3

I've been reading mangas for so long that I can't remember.

I guess it was probably Shugo Chara? Ugh, those embarrassing days. But at that time I genuinely felt that it was a good manga.

But if it's anime, it was a tie between Rave Master, Rurouni Kenshin or Gundam Wing. Can't really remember. :(
