The power of a title makes this a Shipyards top ten, for me.
As for content, I dearly wish I had been able to write it.
That someone else was and did, makes me grateful, and is a balm.
It briefly made me feel hopelessly second-rate as a writer, and then it kicked me in the a**,
for letting myself be swamped by life, by my shortcomings, or, caving in.

Alison, I get that feeling now and then
I read a poem and think that is so fine
why didn't I see it that way and why didn't I write it.
I can do better.
I think that is the fun of workshopping
and we strive for originality after reading such good poems.
