Daydreaming of first snow in almost-September.
It's going to be a long quarter of a year.

Mounds surround me, and I remember a plowman
when snow woke me at 4am. A lean Dalmatian

accompanied him. Almost as happy as I, he sat
watching white flutter-byes disappear. I envy

the ski expert on television who demonstrates
a German-made avalanche airbag. Deploy,

and you're atop the dunes on a red inner tube.
I yank back to today. Laundry won't lower itself.

Nice daydreams as long as it's not winter yet.  ❄
We need to teach our laundry to take care of itself.

Congratulations on another 7!

"plowman" is a beautiful mouthful. I am nowhere near ready to daydream of snow, but this is a great ride.

I share your anticipation of winter although I live in the South and you, I think, are in Boston? If so you are one brave women.

I like this and especially like the "flutter-byes."

Loverly end to your set. The Dalmatian is such a great visual. I envy your C-something status. Summer is definitely on the wane, though I am in no hurry for winter. Fall, yes. Winter, no. Except that I don't feel badly about not being outdoors more in winter.
