  • They totally weren't conventional; or traditional, nothing like that and Wally actually prefered it that way. They had met through an arranged marriage service, knowing nearly nothing about each other and then going on with the wedding. That hadn't really been super traditional either; Wally hadn't had time to really figure out what she might have wanted ring wise, so he just didn't get her one. And while they were married; they both had shit to bring with them to the new place, so he decided to spend that night finish packing on his own and loading everything to the new place.

They had plans to meet up at the Vow given house about noon; give them a chance to have lunch together, then get to work and making all their crap fit together. At least the houses were decent; better then the apartment he'd had anyways, it was like a kingdom with all the extra rooms. He wasn't sure yet how Eliza was going to want to do the whole sleeping arrangements either, some people couldn't just flop into bed with a stranger nightly and just sleep. Wally could, but he was an odd bird.

The front door to the house was wide open; the moving truck backed into the drive, ramp down and he was going back and forth carrying boxes in. He'd already made sure the movers had picked up Eiza's things, just so she wouldn't have to worry about lifting anything. She was bakin' a potato, so he didn't want her wearing herself out. All she needed to do was arrive; he'd take care of the lifting, he didn't really mind a little hard work.

All the furniture was inside; not totally set up yet, but all he had to move were the boxes. The Movers had taken care of the furniture for him. On the kitchen counter; was sitting a gift bag, something he'd picked up for them both with a little notepad inside. He glanced at the time on his cell phone; knowing she'd be getting there soon if she was on time, if she wasn't...no biggie. It was her place too, it wasn't like it was going anywhere unless she did.</li>

Eliza had gotten married. Married. And it was just lovely. True, she'd only been married for a day -- and they hadn't even gone home together the previous night -- but it was lovely. Ever so lovely. He was lovely. Wallace Eugene Calhoun. He was more than six feet of adorableness and Eliza wasn't prone to fears or anxiety or anything like that but Wally caused her heart to slow to a gentle thump that made her warm all over.

He called her pixie like it was her name and Eliza had never been happier. (Sunshine fluttered happily, just like their mother at the thought.)

And now they were moving in together!

Eliza... Eliza had a lot of stuff. It wasn't big stuff -- the few big things she did have she hadn't kept, or wasn't planning on keeping -- but she did have a lot of little things, little trinkets and mementos, colorful and bright, and rugs, so many rugs. (Gosh Eliza loved rugs.) The majority of it she had picked up since her move to Evergreen and even though it was all new, Eliza had a hard time letting it go. So she packed it all up and laughed when the movers had showed up on her doorstep that morning. How surprisingly wonderful~

Yet even when all the boxes were gone, Eliza lingered. It had only been two months, but... She lingered and when she finally left she had a smile on her face and joy in her heart and both increased as she stepped foot into the house she would be sharing with Wally. She positively brightened at the sight of the man. Moving as quick as her short legs would allow, Eliza immediately cozied up to the younger man. "Look at you! Thank you for picking everything up this morning! It was so wonderful of you." And it was, honestly. Eliza smiled again, placing a quick kiss to his shoulder. He was lovely, ever so lovely and maybe Eliza kept thinking it but it was true, even if she had known him only for a few short days.

Eliza was just so happy.

  • Wallace hadn't really made a point to examine everything that had been loaded into the truck; he probably should have but he just was really laid back about things, she could have whatever she wanted and he'd be cool with it. As long as she didn't want to do every room in pink; wally liked pink, in more ways then one but he'd really rather not have to sleep in a Princess room. However, he'd already vowed to hand over the decorating to Eliza if she wanted it.

If it was up to him; there would be a dog statue with his leg hitched up at the front door...mainly because it was funny, or a few Dog portraits that are so tacky that others would roll their eyes when they saw them. Like Dogs playing poker, or in a hot tub. He just liked the funky odd things in life, maybe that was why he already liked Eliza. She was most definitely different from anyone else just from what little time they'd spent together and she obviously wasn't shy about not knowing him either.

One long muscular arm wrapped around the smaller Woman; a grin spreading over his face as his shoulder was kissed, "You missed..." He teased; tapping at his lips but not pushing her for the kiss, they had plenty of time to do that. Besides; he was a little icky from moving boxes, sweaty reall. "Don't get too close; Pixie, I'm all sweaty." He informed her; his arm not leaving her though, "And hey...couldn't have you busting something in the piping by moving heavy shit. Right? We gotta keep that little Bird bakin' awhile longer."

He pulled back; letting his fingers move over the yellow robe like...thing she was wearing, "Nice...this looks good on you." He stated, as if he knew exactly what it was...but hr really didn't. Still the yellow was nice on her skin tone, he liked the skirt too. That was one thing that had really drawn Wally in; Eliza was like this...modern day hippy, a pixie that he could see dancing through a flower field with a tambourine...he'd totally buy her a tambourine. "Hey...got us something." He gestured to the bag on the counter.</li>

While Eliza was a fan of pink, she wouldn't even think of forcing Wally into a princess room -- maybe, if she, if they, had a girl and the little one wanted a pink princess room when she was old enough to decide she wanted it, but... until then, the thought of having a room showered in bubblegum pink wouldn't cross Eliza's mind. Neutrals.. and yellows and greens, deep and mellow and ever so lovely, those colors crossed her mind. But she wouldn't push it, because even if Wallace had vowed to let her do what she wanted, she wanted it to be an ever so lovely combination of the two of them together.

Wouldn't that just be lovely?

It would.

Eliza couldn't wait, and it showed on the happiness that settled across her body. But how could she not be happy when Wallace settled an arm around her? She didn't mind the sweat -- she wouldn't lie and say she didn't notice, but... there were far worse things than a sweaty husband! She laughed at his antics, surging up quickly to press a delicate little kiss against his lips. "I'm too short!" And she laughed again. There was more than a foot between their heights! It didn't bother her, but it would definitely make kissing her husband harder!

In direct contrast to his words, Eliza snuggled a little closer to the taller man, curling her fingers into his shirt -- he was wearing suspenders and how cute was that??? They even had little penguins on them! It was utterly adorable. He was utterly adorable. "Well, either way that was very thoughtful of you, and me and the little Bird," she twittered happily at the word, "are very thankful." She beamed once more. "And thank you!" She grabbed the hand that was touching her cover up -- kimono, technically -- lifting it up so she could twirl beneath it. Her belly pressed out against the tank top she was wearing, but Eliza didn't mind -- and she didn't really care if anybody else did either because... Sunshine was her sunshine and Sunshine was utterly beautiful and Eliza actually loved the way her body was filling out during her pregnancy.

She felt glow-y and happy and oh~!

"Oh! You didn't have to!" But her face said she was ecstatic, because wasn't that just so thoughtful? It was. Eliza was in love. She didn't drop his hand as she moved, instead carefully pulling him (or at least she liked to hope she was pulling, but considering their height and weight differences... Eliza wasn't going to be able to make Wallace do anything he didn't want to do. Not that she wanted to of course, but still!) with her as she moved to open the little white bag. She pulled the shirts out first, laughter bubbling out of her as she held one out before her so she could read it.

"I love them!" And she did. She was half tempted to pull the shirt on already! Next she pulled out the little notepad, biting her lip gently as she read what he'd checked off. "You owe me an explanation?" She questioned softly as she turned to face him again. Clicking her tongue, another smile flickered across her face. "I think I like you owing me sex more." She wasn't worried, about Wallace feeling like he owed her an explanation -- or maybe she was? Eliza didn't want him to feel like he had to explain something just because they were married! She wanted him to be happy and lovely.

sorry, got a little wordy <.<

  • He received a kiss to the lips after his teasing and he returned it with a soft chuckle, letting her snuggle in close to him despite what he'd said about being sweaty. "I'll get you a step stool, specially made. Have it say, Pixie's kissing stool." He grinned again, letting her head over to pull the shirts out. He was obviously the Big Spoon but, "The Little Spoon is mine." He was joking and he knew she'd know that.

Then as she took out the note pad; he nodded, "Actually...I do but sex isn't a bad idea." Like he'd turn it down, she was adorable and well...pregnancy looked nice on her. "See, I didn't get you a ring for yesterday. I know you didn't say anything about that but...I had my reasons." He went to stand behind her then; leaning over to read what all had been checked off, "I thought we could go together, that way you could pick out what you wanted? So that's the explanation and the Alcohol will be an IOU until Sunshine makes an appearance."

He playfully made a nomnomnom sound against her head with his mouth, then wiped at his forehead. Tugging off his beanie and revealing his mess of hair, he probably should have just left that on. "We can order take out, whatever you want. I got the cash on me." He stretched, "I figured I'd let you pick where you want the Nursery to be, so I got the things for the baby set aside for now. We can go to a craft store or something this weekend, work on making it nice and shiny."</li>

Eliza didn't necessarily like the smell or feel or the whatever of sweat, but she also preferred her men to be the type to get all sweaty. There was nothing wrong with those who didn't of course! But tall and handsy and outdoorsy did something for Eliza like nothing else could -- and the fact that her husband was all sweaty because he was doing nearly all of the work so she didn't have to even lift a finger? It made her feel all warm and fuzzy, comfortable to the fullest extend. So she snuggled in close despite his warning and just grinned at him when he joked about getting her a little step stool. "I'd love it," she confided. She'd probably use it too, because well... She really was terribly short when it came to the man.

And in general.

But especially concerning Wally.

She blinked a little when he brought up the ring, eyes dropping to her hands as if to confirm that yes indeed she was married but there was no ring on her finger, and then she shrugged. Tilting her head up, she relaxed back into his chest (and she could get used to the way he wrapped her up in his arms, totally, even by just standing behind her). "Oh," her mouth fell open, a giggle promptly falling out as he pretended to nom on her. "I like the way you think Mister!" Carefully she took his free hand, wrapping it around her before turning around in his arm to face him, a half hearted hug as she curled into him. "We can get you a ring too? If you'd like. I didn't even think of getting you one, I'm sorry!" It hadn't been that she wasn't excited, because she was, obviously, it was just... well.

The thought honestly hadn't crossed her mind. Just like the fact that she didn't have a wedding ring didn't bother her one bit. They were married and that was that!

"And everything else sounds just lovely! I think the nursery should be whatever room's closest? Just to make it easier, and dinner can be whatever, I'm not..." She tipped her head to the side as she thought, trying to figure out if she actually didn't care what they had before finishing her thought. Not burgers, at least for her. Or noodles. Something with fish. Maybe. She didn't know. "I'm not picky!" she concluded after a few seconds, smiling brightly again. "Are you? Picky, that is?" Because it was always good to know if her husband was picky or had allergies or anything like that!

  • He may have been rambling but he wasn't sure what to say, he had so much pent up inside him that it all was flowing out. Maybe he needed to start a journal or something; so he wasn't killing Eliza's ears, all this talk. "How am I suppose to crack short jokes if you don't seem to get offended, you gotta give me something to rile you up with." He teased, though his thoughts moved back towards their wedding rings and...he got an idea.

"Yeah, I'll have one because I belong to you but if you didn't want to go traditional?" He grinned, "Would you be opposed to tattoo rings? Or...symbols on our ring fingers cause I mean, I'm in this for the long haul anyways so I don't care about extra ink." It was a good suggestion, at least he thought so and this way she wouldn't (He actually) have to worry about ever losing the important piece of jewelry.

"Me? Picky? Nuh uh, lil'Momma. I'll eat anything...." He paused, grinning a little more as he spoke. "And everything that is given to me." For shame, Wallace! Dirty minded. "I love pizza though, especially Mancini's here in town. You ever eat there?" He wasn't really sure if Eliza was from around there or not, he was. "Use to make special trips back into Evergreen while at college so I could chow down." His arms drifted around her again, "You got any morning sickness or anything?" He asked curiously, he remembered how sick his Baby Momma had been when she was pregnant with his Son.</li>

It was easy to fall into a shared space with Wally, even if it had only been less than a day. There was a certain calmness that he had, an ease that Eliza absolutely adored and wanted to be around for as long as he'd let her. She wanted the marriage between them to work out but she didn't make any assumption that it would be for the rest of their lives -- things changed, people changed, and well she was counting on it as much as she could and goodness she'd be sad if something bad ever happened between them, it wasn't something Eliza was necessarily worried about. Well. There wasn't really anything that Eliza worried about.

And being short?

That was definitely something she didn't even think twice about.

Although maybe she would not that her husband was more than a head taller than her.

For now she was content to let out a soft giggle at her husband's teasing, scrunching her nose up as she did so. "Being all riled up isn't any fun!" She pushed her lips together as she smiled again. "At least in anger." Being all riled up in other things could be all sorts of fun, and that Eliza knew for a fact! She laughed softly again.

"Oh," the word was dragged out, a thoughtful look settling across her features as she laid a hand against the bump of her stomach. "I'd like that. A lot." Eliza gave a small nod, still looking at a place that wasn't quite Wally, but wasn't quite nothing either. She already had a couple of tattoos, and Wallace obviously had no qualms about the ink and... yes. Eliza would much rather have a tattooed ring or symbol on her finger than another actual ring -- she wore the things like they were going out of style, but a tattoo? That just seemed to fit the pair of them better. "We'd have to wait a few months, until after Sunshine made their appearance," here her tone warmed, "but I think that would be perfect!" She leaned up on her tiptoes again to place a gentle kiss against his lips.

It would be perfect.

She laughed again as Wallace spoke -- something she could already tell would be a common occurrence around the man, but who could blame her? He was just so delightful! "I haven't! But if you'd be welling to make that trip it must be good!" She relaxed even further into him, resting the majority of her weight against the taller man. "You can pick? Just no Canadian bacon across it all." She'd never been a fan of the meat. She wasn't vegetarian by any means -- although she had been for several years actually -- but that, especially when paired with sausage was just gross in her opinion. "And no thank goodness! I had a little, when I first got pregnant, but it disappeared around... fifteen weeks? I think. Somewhere around there?" It had been a pain, but it hadn't lasted very long at least!

  • A finger lifted; tapping at her scrunched up nose, "Oh yeah? Maybe you just haven't been riled up by the right person yet." He started to laugh as she continued, saying about the same thing he had been thinking. His eyes brightened a little when Eliza actually liked his idea of getting tattooed wedding bands or something of that nature, his hand dropping to join hers on her stomach. "It's worth waiting for...." He returned the kiss; bending a little to make it easier on her, for not really knowing each other...the intimacy came without difficulty.

the cuddling; hugging and kissing, Wallace was looking forward to progressing those gestures into something even more intimate. Eliza didn't seem the type to be shy or worried about if they would be together or not and Wally, well he didn't mind at all either. She was pregnant but she was beautiful, this wasn't his first pregnancy and maybe it wouldn't be their last either. That was something else they would have to talk about, obviously.

"It is." Then a nod of acknowledgement, "No canadian bacon, I'm good with that." He tugged out his cell phone; ready to call in the order, just to make sure it would be on the way and they could eat soon. He was listening to her talk about the pregnancy though and his head tilted to the side, "You going to find out what Sunshine is?" As far as he knew, she didn't know yet but it would be nice to know. Though...a big surprise at the end would be equally cool, "I think it was about seventeen weeks that we found out I was having a son." He didn't talk about him much, but he would with her if she really wanted to know about him.</li>

He was warm and delightful and it was wonderfully easy to fall into a rhythm with him. She loved how tall he was, compared to her -- or really anyone -- the way he could wrap his arms around her and she was positive that she was safe, her and Sunshine, and maybe she was getting in way over her head because honestly they had only been married a day, didn't even know each other all that well, but nevertheless the fact remained she already felt save and loved and that could only mean amazing things. She snuggled further into his arms, sighing. Lovely lovely lovely.

(She would love to have more kids with him, a whole brood to call their own, but for now one was just perfect, her little Sunshine, their little Sunshine.)

She twined her fingers in his free hand, lifting it high above her so she could twirl slowly beneath it. "I don't think so," she said with a gentle shrug. "I want to be surprised, surprised and happy with our little Sunshine." Her smile was radiant as she tipped her head up to look at him, continuing to move lightly. Her nose scrunched up. "If you can keep a secret you can find out at the next ultrasound if you want." Bringing his hand back down she brushed a gentle kiss against his tattooed knuckles. "But only if you can keep a secret." She wouldn't be upset if he let it slip of course, it would be silly to be upset over such a thing, but oh how she wanted to be surprised!

Pressing back into his side, she tipped her head back, resting her chin against his side. "Where you happy? When you found out he was a boy?" She didn't want to push him -- she couldn't even imagine what it would be like, to loose a child, couldn't even think about loosing her little Sunshine. More hesitantly she continued on, "Do you have a preference? Over the gender?" Eliza just wanted ten fingers and ten toes and an adorable little smile, didn't care about girl or boy because either way they were her little Sunshine.

  • It was dedication; Wallace had it in his mind when he went into this, joining The Vow...that this was going to be his new life. He made his own vow, that he would go head first into this and he would treat whichever Woman he was chosen for as if she was his heart...even if she wasn't yet. Though; the more time he spent with Eliza, the more he realized that it wouldn't be all that hard to do. She was entirely loveable.

A grin came to his face again as she pushed his arm up, twirling under it. He watched her; amused, she was just so carefree and that was absolutely amazing to him. "Deal, if I decide I really want to know...I promise I won't spill the beans to you. I kind of like the idea of being surprised too though; it's new to me, sometimes the old ways are the best ways."

Wally took in a deep breath; preparing himself to answer her questions, his tall form dropping back onto a stool. He reached for the Woman; tugging her up onto his lap, his arms around her to hold her there so she didn't fall. "I was, it was pretty cool to know. I would have been just as happy if he had been a Girl too, I mean. I was there; watching her grow, knowing that it was my child that was filling her and making her stretch like that. That it was my kid I could feel tapping back at my hand, it wouldn't have matter what Huxley was."

Sometimes; it was hard to say his name, but not right then. It was good for Wally to be able to talk about him with Eliza, sometimes keeping it all in became a struggle and he would fall depressed. He needed more therapy, he was just a little too proud to admit it. "So I'm good with either for you, I just want to be in Sunshine's life..be a part of it."</li>

It was a simple fact, one that Eliza didn't even think to question. You receive what you sent out. So she sent out love and joy and laughter, sent out yellow and fresh, clean and pure, sent out happiness and goodness and she wouldn't lie, there were times when disappointment and sadness curled around her heart and tugged, but for the most part? For the most part her life was filled with the same love and joy and laughter, the yellow and fresh, clean and pure, the happiness and goodness that she sent out, it was given back tenfold and how could she expect anything else from her adventure using the Vow?

Sure Samhain had seemed good and lovely but he was rough around the edges, too much country to Eliza's hippie, and there was nothing wrong with that. They parted on good terms and Eliza wished him nothing but goodness in return -- and how could she not when he had helped her to reach this point? This point where she was allowed to curl up with Wallace, dream of the future, of happiness and tiny little feet on their kitchen floor? No, she was grateful, ever so grateful.

She sent out joy and love and happiness and in return the universe had sent her Wallace. Eliza was calm with the fact. He was lovely.

It was impossible to keep the smile from her face as he spoke. "I agree," she said, soft and light, like the pixie he called her. She couldn't imagine knowing the gender honestly. She just... she wanted happiness. She wanted to be surprised.

And she was -- although not in the same way -- when Wallace sat, pulling her with him. She let out a small squeak, quite in nature, as she settled comfortably on his lap. Gently she wrapped an arm around his neck. She didn't say anything as he spoke, didn't make any noises of agreement or pity, just pressed a soft kiss to his cheek when he was done, settle her head against his chest and moving his hand to rest against her stomach. (She was confident enough to say that she already liked his hand there.) "He was lucky to have you as a father, and you him as a son."

She couldn't imagine. So she focused on the positives, on the luck that they both shared at knowing each other. Nuzzling into his neck, she smiled. "And you will be, without a doubt, you'll be a giant part of Sunshine's life and we're both lucky to have you -- and if it's okay, with you, I'd love for you to tell them all about their big brother." She couldn't imagine.

  • His fingers traced over the small bump; the baby, as if he could already tenderly caress it. As if he already loved Sunshine, maybe he did. Maybe he just loved the idea of being a Father again; it was scary but exciting, it drug up awful memories but there were good ones there too. Huxley's smile, his laugh. The way his little chubby leg would kick as he was tickled, almost like Thumper from the Classic movie Bambi. Wallace wanted to feel and experience all that again, despite whatever raw wounds it might tear open.

"Thanks, means a lot." His head dropping; quietly pushing his face into Eliza's neck as he turned thoughtful, reflecting on those past memories. "I'd like that, Huxley being a big brother. Sometimes I like to think he's still with me, in spirit...as wild as that may sound." That Boy had been a God send and God took him back, the world hadn't been ready for Huxley Calhoun and his greatness.

The Man shifted a little in his seat; taking in a deep breath, pushing the waves of emotions away and focusing on the here and now. "Can't wait to get that bedroom finished, I could use a massive nap. Your job will be to cuddle me." His tone finally light, teasing. "Though if you aren't good at it, I may have to fire you."</li>
