Hi Tony,
I was actullly thinking the very same thing. I'm having a bit of a day off today, I managed to farm out my two teenagers for the day, and so am indulging myself on this forum and also was going to watch the very first Virginian episode, "The Executioners", I'll keep my fingers crossed that all goes to plan, if so I'll happily share my thoughts on it later. I love the early episodes as I don't remember them first time around.

I was just thinking, the DVD release might increase membership of this forum and TVAG, as more people around the world enjoy seeing the show again, the English speaking world at least.

Hi Nic,
That is a good point, wouldn't it be great if Jim mentioned the groups in his interview? Just a thought
I never got around to watching any V episodes in the end, I had visitors, maybe Monday. We are off today to Roundwood, Co. Wicklow for a STAR-B-Q organised by Astronomy Ireland, I have no interest, but Rod and the boys are big into it. After dragging Rod to Claremorris last year, it's pay back time now, so off I go. I'll be back tomorrow - hopefully!!!!

Hi all,
Well we are back from a very wet STAR-B-Q and a dull Wicklow, the entire thing was a total washout, very disappointing. Never again. Next year I will paint a wall and blow dry it! Can't say any more - too upset.

I've just signed the petition again, urging a region free release. Many of the people who have signed are not Region 1, and have not been lucky enough like us Irish and the Aussies, to see this show in recent years. For them, we need to keep up the campaign and get a all region release, The fight is not over, pards, until ALL the world can see The Virginian again. I hope all members reading this will sign again, reiterating that there is a world wide demand for The V on DVD, not just in the U.S and Canada. This is a call for freedom, freedom to see The V again! (I'm getting a little carried away now......!!!!) Long Live The Virginian! (and Trampas!) 765 signatures, roll on 1,000,then maybe we should consider sending it to Universal AND Timeless Media, if not sooner.

Hi, Tony,
Well, they added my second signature, maybe they forgot my name 762 signatures back, did you use your name or a username? Maybe trying an alias would work.

I see our newest member Harb Sangha has signed, as has Leigh-Anne Barlow, a recent new member of TVAG. It is important for fans outside the U.S. to press for an all region release or Region 2, Region 4, etc, releases.

823 signatures now, glad to see people are still signing, even though it is out on DVD in the U.S.

Well, Bob. I like to think that the petition, started here in Ireland, played some part, however small, in getting the Virginian released on DVD! That when they were considering the viability of bringing it out on DVD, that they looked around the various websites for the show and saw the petition. There was certainly no talk of a DVD release before it, except on groups like this. Maybe a little country like Ireland has helped the world to see The Virginian again!
