Stuck on Friday's strip, but wondering how they'll be revived.

In Terry Pratchett's books Otto, a vampire regularly turned to dust by his picture box flash, has a vial of blood fall into the pile of ashes and, upon shattering reconstitutes him.

Something like that in store for our heroes?  Some Dew?  Industrial strength coffee delivered by Cara?  Paint?

Handwavum.   Next scene they are inexplicably fine with no further explanation or mention.
It is possible to commit no mistakes and still lose. That is not a weakness. That is life.

In a previous strip, we saw Doc ashed and dumped into a trashcan, to be reconstituted in the next panel, with seemingly no extra work required. But then, we don't see what was in the trashcan before the ashes were added.

This is the old "Flintstones" model.  No matter what trouble Fred & Barney got into, the next episode they started off with a clear slate, no continuity (the continuity which would eventually become part of the Flintstones were Wilma's pregnancy and birth of Pebbles, also the adoption of Bam-Bam by Barney and Betty.)

Simpsons made fun of this at the end of one show, "Well, here we are back to where we began the show!"

Re: Ashcan - maybe it had an old smoke detector in there, with a tiny bit of americium.  Or some funky old Dew cans...

If I remember correctly Otto also ended up with his jacket having the same pattern as the carpet after one of his reconstitutions.

Might need some more big 'splosions for a do-over...

Since there was a concoction primed and ready to go for the situation, it is quite safe to say this was far from the first time that Doc and Roger have made complete ashes of themselves...
