I see Doc and Roger have decided that nothing exceeds like excess - yet again! The rest of you - stay safe as you loose off a few fireworks.

(Today's also the hundredth anniversary of the first time that US troops fought alongside Australian troops - and the first 'combined ops' involving infantry, artillery, cavalry and aviation simultaneously assaulting an enemy stronghold.)

That's no way to celebrate...

Back in 1716, on July the 4th the inhabitants of Fredrikshald(now Halden) here in Norway lit the town up... with the Swedish king and his army in it...

THAT's how it's done...

-"Chaotic" is about the calmest word you could use to describe that. 😁

I would love to see somebody try this. Like the Slo-Mo Guys, who have already made catapults and flamethrowers. 😁

Fine a nice, abandoned quarry or old disused airstrip or something with lots of clear, open area (and few burnables) pack a small homebrew catapult or trebuchet with loose, unpacked fireworks- a catapult that doesn't throw the stuff too far or too fast- and have somebody set up with a big flamethrower that produces big balls of flame, rather than streams.

And protective armor, lots of protective armor. 😁

The result should be truly chaotic and fun as hell to watch.

Doc.

I'd watch that for certain! (That would have been something for the classic mythbusters team (or even the new one? I've not watched any of the new episodes) to try, except that I'm almost positive that the insurance company wouldn't let them do it.)

And the infernal noise will more then likely go on well into the night, and I have to get up early for work tomorrow.  The noise may not bother the dead, but I am a long ways from that.
