I think I meant to say BBCODE, not PHP, where the brackets I used would have been correct!

Indeed- I'm having the same problem, along with things like formatting and links. I'll eventually learn. :)

Baseball bats are one of the three most dangerous weapons known to man.

The other two are the cricket bat and the hockey stick.

I'm a little surprised the Brits haven't banned cricket bats yet, or at least required that they be locked up at the fields in a "bat safe", only to be brought out for sanctioned games...

You young whippersnappers... 👴   I've been doing this since Bulletin Boards and Usenet, when we just gave up and typed out what we wanted to show but couldn't...  ()  When you needed to do real computing you filled in punchcards and handed the whole deck in to be run on the School District Mainframe...

When a proper '.sig file' had a Cut line at the top (space dash dash CR/LF) and a max of 4 lines 72-characters, all printable - violate that and your account was disabled for wasting bandwidth.   When 120 baud was the norm, 300 baud was Fast and 1200 was Blazing - 14,400 arrived and I thought I'd died and gone to heaven.

I'm told that it's illegal to keep a cricket bat, golf club or other piece of sporting equipment by your bedside for self defense. However, it -is- legal to keep all your sports gear together in one place, and if that happens to be next to your bed, well...

You can also keep a torch (flashlight) next to your bed.  My fathers is three foot long and made of metal.
