Shoes for anthropomorphic characters

A while back we were discussing shoes on anthropomorphic characters. Over at Freefall, Florence Ambrose usually has a full body suit with boots. In today's strip (and I think other strips, like when she went out to dinner) she's wearing a dress and what looks like half socks, which only cover her toes.

I think those are more like stubby slippers, rather than socks.

that covers just the toes, since that's all that normally touches the ground.

Actual "booties" for dogs are in fact a real thing- they're commonly used on Iditarod Dog Sled Race dogs.



An anthropomorphic canine might be able to wear more of a "slipper" type of shoe than a normal dog- those booties need to be pretty securely strapped on- but shoes for dogs do, in fact, exist.
