Roger must have tried to prank Doc by adjusting the caffeine level in the finished product, or even switch it to sugar-free(why does it even have that setting?), and activated the defenses.

That, or the plant went critical and created a time warp, and those are hunter-killer robots sent by Coca-Cola's sentient plant sime time in the future in order to secure world domination...
