Powerlet plugs

My new vstrom came wired with 3 powerlet ports... but nothing I own uses those. I would not be adverse to changing the plugs on a few of my 12v items, but looking at the cost of just PL to 12v cigar plugs is pretty darn pricey to start ripping apart.

So, where can those of us who can use a soldering iron go for these bits? My google-fu is weak today. Id also like to make my own adapters (and understand that I would have to relocate 12v-5v components in the new plugs)

Thats what I have found... and Im not looking for

Im looking for bare powerlet plugs... no adapters (paying $20 for an adapter to hack up and toss most of is in this case, stupid). guess the target audience is BMW riders, who seem to like spending money :P

http://www.powerlet.com has a section that is just parts.... and that seems to be the only site where you can get just parts.

Did you try there? I use Bing now rather than Google, but from what I browsed, this was the best site for you.

They have just parts when it comes to the sockets, but not the plugs.

Explain (or give a link to here) why you are looking for the plugs, and ask for prices. Who knows? You might get a price list back!

But figure, ask the guild, because this is where you go to get stuff so you can make better than commercially available.
