I make it a point to try to attend Tom's concerts at the various conventions I go to, and have a collection of his CDs. If you haven't heard of Tom, you may have heard his "Talk Like A Pirate Day" song, which has made it outside of the sci-ft/tech./fantasy circle.

While "307 Ale" doesn't appear to be among the "Free Stuff" on his website, there are plenty of other examples. Just look for tomsmithonline.com.

I've been FAFIA (forced away from it all) for a while as far as con-going goes, so it's been a while since I've seen him live.

... Apparently, Tom Smith's site was suspended by the provider (?!) 😭 I'll have to look elsewhere for it.

I just tried the link above, and it's working. There was a different address at one time, but it used to link to the new one.

There's a reason it's called "common meter."

A co-worker from a couple jobs back was fond of saying "I sing Tenor... Ten or twelve miles away." (presumably that's the distance you need to be for one's ears to stop bleeding, or for it to sound ok.) 😁
