Eliza returns with a review of the latest Star Wars, The Last Jedi. I still haven't seen it, and didn't do much beyond copy & paste, not reading her review closely until I have seen it. If she spots any typos I can edit later.

Thank you for letting me do this, EC.  I always enjoy it.  I don't think it's overly spoilerish but if someone is really against knowing anything, it's probably not the review to read.  The short version is:  there's no reason not to see The Last Jedi.

I'll see it eventually, but two main reasons I haven't yet. One, I hate big crowds, which this is sure to draw for at least another week or two. Two, I'm a bad geek, cause I'm tired of Star Wars. I'd much rather see new and different stories in other universes.

Ah...well, I don't blame you on the crowds.  Though, we went to the morning show on Sunday after it opened and that was not sold out.  Also, once you do see it you might find that it is not as much like the other Star Wars movies as you think.  That's been one of the complaints:  Rian Johnson basically tossed the playbook out.

Finally saw it. Not sorry I waited six weeks either. Now I can go back to not caring anymore.

I've held off updating the review page and the Films at Amazon page, because even though they have the digital version and the DVD up for pre-order, the DVD is exorbitantly priced and no details about extras are given. They still don't have a Blu-Ray or 4K release listed, which is odd since it's supposed to come out in less than five weeks, March 27.

I guess Amazon decided to lose out on a lot of pre-orders of The Last Jedi to other retailers, because here it is the day before it's supposed to be released and the only listings they have are for a DVD ($40) and two different 3D Blu-Rays, all apparently from third party sellers and not eligible for Prime shipping. The DVD is supposedly Region 1, so I'm thinking it's a Canadian release. This makes no sense.

FINALLY - They have the info to order the DVD and Blu-Ray.
