Looking for a Mk IX to add to the stash. I got the Aviaeology decals and now I need a plane for them .

I see Italeri and Airfix have them...any others out there?

Compare Hasegawa and Airfix kits

Hello,
Again, both in 72 scale. As you may notice, they are both good, but the Hasegawa is more precise with better engraved and more detailled panel lines. Airfix of course much more cheaper !
Cant personnaly decide !

While the Italeri one is nicely engraved, I seemed to recall comments that it is not the most accurate.

For $5.00 that I really don't want (I think I may have even picked up two at that price). I also have the Italeri IX that was won as a door prize at you know where.

For the cost of shipping I can send you them if you like. I won't ever build 1/72 and even Craig says they are too small for him to build. He wants the manly scale of 1/48.

I'll take the Hassy Mk IX off of you for sure. Any other RCAF 72nd stuff you might be looking at unloading?

When you go looking for a Lysander, get the Revell/Matchbox kit. It is one of their better kits and has a very nice engine/cowling/propeller arrangement. SB normally has them for a good price.

The only BB Shark kit is the ancient FROG offering and you will need to make the long green house canopy from scratch

Hi Vic

There is an article on that kit coming in the next RT. It was written by John Wong from Toronto and he got a great result from the kit which you would expect with John's skills.

He made a great job of it - but you could tell it was not an easy conversion!
