be a good idea to start a Chinese artillery inventory 1900-1950 on The Overvalwagen Forum, more or less in the same format as the Ottoman/Turkish one on this page?

It's a too challenging task for me since there is no clear record of the artileries used in China in early 20 centery. Maybe someone else can take the initiative.

Attached is an image from the US Library of Congress digital archives of a US 75mm pack howitzer in Chinese service, probably circa 1944-1945. Some of these howitzers evidently had wooden, spoked wheels rather than rubber tires.

I guess it had spoked wheels because they really used it as a pack weapon and dismantled the howitzer in mule loads...unlike the rubber tyre version?

Yes, there were two kinds of wheels.

The wooden wheels were for M1A1 75mm mountain gun and the rubber wheels were for M1A1 75mm howitzers. And the barrel is the same.
