I was just going to get on and ask if that was you! I remembered you saying that you had written a book that your dad had typed up, and your name was Jen. You sounded great! I thought everybody did, and I was so glad Karen was able to call in and talk about the website.

Having just listened to the whole thing (wasn't able to listen last night), I have to say, I was almost in tears listening to the beginning of the show, with CT talking about his kids and how they were driving him crazy, etc. "I mean, I had the third one so I wouldn't have to do anything with the second one!" LOL, that was hysterical, and so true to life. And the grizzly bear thing.

So if you decided to check out the website here, Mr. Howell, thanks for the laughs. :P

I lost it at "You know, I can run faster than my kids. I've got things to live for." LOL.

He's so snarky and funny, his show always makes me laugh. I'm glad so many people from here got to talk to them!

Had to download the second part when I loked at the site again I realised there was a second part. listened to it all, it was great I laughed so hard. Everyone did sound great it's great so many people had the courage to ring in I wouldn't have.
We just don't have shows like here, I mean he slagged everyone off it was really funny. Then again I don't listen to late night radio and I can only get a few stations.

I loved in the first part when they were talking about how hard they'd tried to get Rob, Kirk said something about maybe he heard all the stories Tommy had been telling (I remember show, I called in that night LOL) and he was mad and Tommy goes "I have no idea what you're talking about." LOL.

Yeah I like the I've been trying to get Diane since I was fourteen or Leif confirmed but I didn't want him. i can't believe he said all that stuff, I'm still in shock. Talk about letting a bear eat one of your kids. (I bet his kids love him fot that.) LOL. Although it was said in gest there would be outcry if that was said here.

I downloaded and put it on CD. We were listening to it at work in the backroom and everyone was laughing so hard. My one employee kept saying, "Did he just say what I think he said?"

The whole show was so funny - especially the part about the bear. It opened up a whole new topic of conversation at work - just what would you do if a bear was attacking you? My assistant, Michelle, said she would get her cat first, then her husband if there was time, LOL.

For some reason I can't respond to everyone about the recording. If you will privately email your name and address, I will get these in the mail over the weekend. Thanks!!

Has anyone been able to subscribe to Tommy's show? I've been periodically downloading the podcasts, but only because whenever I click the Subscribe button, it takes me to a random half-page that only tells me how to subscribe, but doesn't actually allow me to.

I've looked, a couple of different ways, on iTunes to subscribe that way, but that's the most difficult system (in my opinion) to work with and I have very little luck getting many things that way.

I got that what I ended up doing was pressing the play now button next to the download button and then when that pops up press subcribe button.

What do you think Susie meant by Sodapop's "outcome"? Does that mean that he DOESN'T die in Vietnam? Why would she tell Rob one thing but then turn around (25 years later) and tell us to ignore that and draw our own conclusion? When I first heard her say that, my heart lept into my throat that the possibility that Soda didn't die after all, but now I just don't know what to think, LOL. I wish we had a definite answer.

Oh, and Jen - when you called in and got to talk to her, it got me all excited, thinking, "Hey! I've talked with her before!" Made that 6 degrees gap that much shorter, haha.

Keira -

Speaking only from my own experiences with original characters, I can say that at different times I could see different futures for them. Some of them are easy to picture, while others kind of fluctuate. My interpretation of what she said was that what happens to your characters is up in the air, even for the author, until it's actually written down.

Example - Pre-writing, I originally thought Trev was going to die in FR. It took me until I started writing the story to realize that that wasn't supposed to happen. It's hard to explain, but it isn't even that I decided to change the outcome. It was more like the purpose of the story, and where it was going, revealed itself to me as it developed.

Thanks Liz. That makes a lot of sense. I briefly mentioned this to Rock last night while we were watching - whatelse - the TV series (I really need to get cracking on that. My laptop stopped working for a few days there and I kinda forgot :() and she was just as confused as I was. I think you told me about Trev's original outcome at first, though I did forget - but I'm SO glad you kept him around. Made FR so much more powerful.

Amy - make sure you download both the segments titled SE Hinton and Director Tim Hunter. They're two different halves of the same show, and she's on both.
