What are New Haven's iconic locomotives?

Hey there, I'm wondering what kind of locomotives are iconic for the New Haven? Now I'm thinking of the I-5 Hudson but I don't know if that's really iconic for the New Haven. Any opinions?

I-5, Shoreliner (not "Hudson"), DL-109, any electric, all iconic New Haven engines.  FL-9s, too.

And don't forget the I-4 or any other one that you can think of!

I see now, would the Comet be also the iconic ones as well?

Take the top-mounted air tanks off the I-4 and it would look not unlike many other railroads' 4-6-2s.  Close, but not quite iconic.

The Comet, maybe, but it's not a locomotive.

You need something that absolutely screams "New Haven Railroad," readily identifiable as such.  Think white-black-red FL-9 or EP-5, or a cat-whiskered EP-3.  A massive EP-4 or EF-3.  They said, in no uncertain terms, "New Haven Railroad."

Yeah the EP-5s are my favorites, I really don't understand why 1 isn't preserved and why Rapido wouldn't be making EP-5s in N scale.

It takes money to preserve engines. I presume you made a donation to the IRM to help restore EF-4 No. 300?
How do you know what Rapido's future plans are? The HO models aren't even out yet; perhaps if Rapido feels there is a sufficient market they will make them in N Scale.
