I am working on an article for the Shoreliner, and I would like the help of anyone in information on the late Mr. Charles Mead who built the HO scale display model of the Roger Williams for The Budd Company that was presented to the New Haven Railroad Company. This was the same model of the Roger Williams that NHRR Information Officer Mr. Benedict Hines loaned to Senator Edward M. Kennedy for display in his Boston office at the John F. Kennedy Federal Building in 1966. Mr. James Gagliardi has been kind enough to lend me the original blueprints and other documents that The Budd Company provided Mr. Mead to construct the HO scale model of the Roger Williams. Mr. Gagliardi also gave me all his recollections of Mr. Mead, and suggested I ask if there are any others on the Forum who knew him, of his work, or anything specific about the Roger Williams model that I could use to tell more of Mr. Charles Mead in the article. If you don't care to respond on the public Forum, please send me a message using the Forum's message system I want to thank you very much in advance.
