Searching for an uncle who worked for NHNYRR in early 1900's

In researching my family tree, I've come to find out that my mother's uncle, Edmund Joseph Flood, worked for the NHNYRR, from around 1918 - possibly off and on - through at least 1944. I found a newspaper blurb from January 18, 1944, that stated he was the forward brakeman and involved in an accident (not serious) near Guilford. He was from New Haven. I can't find any information about him after this time. Are there records of former employees somewhere? We don't have a photo of Edmund anywhere, so finding one would be very welcome. Thank you in advance.
