Re: Rapido EP-5 "Jet"

As an NScale modeler, and purchaser of Rapido FL-9s, any chance of seeing an N Scale Rapido EP-5?  I can  understand the cost and need to meet a minimum threshold, but I figured that it couldn’t hurt to ask. Are there other N Scale modelers who would purchase an N Scale EP-5 if the wizards at Rapid...

Re: Rapido EP-5 "Jet"

John: I was kidding about the DCC operable third rail shoes.  However being able to manually flip them up and down would cost not much more if anything, or having them supplied so the owner could install them in the desired position. Thank you for the info  and clarification on the pantograph struc...

Sure do w...

Re: Who Wants Rapido to Make the Washboards Survey

One other reason to make unpowered cars. Even with the excellent ESU decoders it is difficult to speed match all the Rapido RDCs. There is a lot of variation due to production tolerances. The BEMF settings can cause little jerks between the cars which cannot be good for the presumably fragile drive...

Re: NH X-Trooper Express Cars

So, Al is going to swap out the car sides with new ones ?

If he's using the stock walthers car, that car is incorrect for NH.

Re: NH S-1 & 2 Cab

Mr. Sheridan. While I can only use eyeball comparisons of the two views submitted above with all the various angles of DEY-3 and DEY-5 cabs available in pictures in various issues of Shoreliner  and books about the New Haven, I must be missing something that you have seen. To my mind's eye, the arc...

Re: NH S-1 & 2 Cab

I know this as I have already CAD'd the cab out completely including the Whistle & the train control box.

The Windows are the biggest concern besides the roof.

Re: NH S-1 & 2 Cab

Just as an FYI, if you are simply lowering the top of the cab this is incorrect for the NH S1 & S2 cabs. There are many other differences as well.

Got it Rick. Thanks.
