Re: Naugatuck Valley Map

NHRHTA has a terrific online map of the New Haven Railroad from a 1929 form 200 timetable. Here's the direct link: http://www.nhrhta.org/htdocs/map2.htm You can also get it from the nhrhta.org home page by scrolling down the sidebar on the right and clicking on "MAP OF THE NEW HAVEN RR / NHRHTA PUB...

Re: Atlas announced HO ice reefers I-60 & I-63

Ed, here's a start to your answer: zooming in on the artwork, the service stencil appears to be "F 4/57"; could also be "P 4/57".

Hopefully, someone with access to non-revenue equipment rosters can help with a date range.

Re: NE-5 Caboose

Don't panic. I just checked the NE-5 page you get to from the production schedule:
http://www.atlasrr.com/NFreight/nne5caboose.htm
and undec is there on the first line:
50 003 495 Undecorated
I also noticed that 1 B&M and 2 CGW versions are missing from the Atlas Store page; no idea why.

Berkshire bus

I believe E.J. Kelley, based in Torrington, ran the bus that replaced the weekday NH Budd car on the Berk from Danbury to Pittsfield. Never saw the bus, but that trip is about 90 miles each way, so sure it was a "motor coach", not a city bus like the Rapido model.
